Laurie Condurso-Lane

President

Laurie Condurso-Lane is a lifelong horsewoman. Her love for animals, especially horse started at the age of five taking riding lessons at a local farm. She has been active in the field of Thoroughbred aftercare retraining adoption and placement for over twentyfive years, focusing on re-homing thoroughbreds after their racing careers have come to an end. Promoting and educating the public on the versatility and usefulness of the thoroughbred breed. Laurie was the co-founder, President and Executive Director of ReRun, Inc. a nationally recognized thoroughbred program who pioneered the idea of race horse adoption in the late 90’s. Since retiring from Rerun Laurie is the current Director and co-founded Monmouth Parks current Thoroughbred aftercare program Second Call Thoroughbred Adoption & Placement, Inc.

Mission Statement: Second Call is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to the adoption, placement, and retirement of Thoroughbreds that have concluded their racing careers in New Jersey. Our mission is to facilitate the transition of retired racehorses into loving homes and second careers. Each horse accepted into our program undergoes a thorough evaluation, receives necessary rest and rehabilitation, and is subsequently matched with qualified adopters to embark on their journey toward a fulfilling second career.
